– Kelly Cortese was born in Athens (Greece) and grew up in Milan (Italy).
Since she was a child, she listened to every kind of music she could find at home from
her parents, and in this way she discovered unusual feelings through it. Old classic pop
songs have also left their stigma, which were sung accompanied by her father’s guitar.
Listening to classical music influenced her as well, thanks to the professor of her private
music school. During her teenage years, rock was no exception as she played an electric
guitar for several years.
During a summer in Greece and at the age of 15 she made her first outing to a local
night club and her contact with electronic dance music was the kind of music that
immediately captured her attention. Since then, her eyes have been magnetized by the
djs, feeling many times that she wanted to find herself next to them and feel the way
they give and take the rhythm.
During university and her postgraduate studies, she played music for fun at various
student parties, where the passion for electronic dance music grew even more.
Now Kelly Cortese is spinning in various underground night clubs around Athens, a city
known for the intense night life.
